Ahmet

​I am 23 years old and I am in third year of bachelor’s in public finance at the Izmir Katip Çelebi University. I’m so happy to be a member of the Storytelling programme.

Last semester I was in Lithuania with the Erasmus programme and I had many experiences. Now I have less than a month till I come to America, which is my dream, and I am very excited about it! I think this is a unique opportunity to combine with a first-hand experience in a native English-speaking country. Also, living in a foreign country is awesome. I want to love to study a masters abroad in the future and become an academician.

The American adventure that I’m going to experience this summer is something to document. Being a storyteller is a good way to be able to express yourself better and to have fun and to learn. In the future, I will follow a similar path as a lecturer. These kinds of programs are an excellent opportunity to meet various groups of young people, spend quality time with them and get to know their habits, attitudes, lifestyle, etc. Also, living, studying and having fun within international people would broaden my horizons and enable me to build strong social networks with people throughout our world.
