Why did you apply to work at camp?
I have always had a fascination with travelling the world and after speaking to one of my friends at University who had just returned from working at summer camp through Camp America, I knew it was something I wanted to do. I knew that camp would give me a priceless experience working with children and making friends for life from all over the globe. The process was really simple and Camp America were really helpful whenever I needed a question answering.
Typical Day at Camp...
A typical day at camp is 'Busy', full of lots of high energy and fun activities led by great staff members!
Favourite thing about America...
My favourite thing about America is being able to experience so many different cultures as you visit all the different states during your travels.
Biggest Thing You will Take Away From Camp?
Alongside all the memories and lifelong friendships, the biggest thing that I took away from camp was becoming more independent and confident.
Best part about working on camp...
There are so many good things about working at camp but if I had to pick one it would be being able to introduce children to new sports and seeing them develop their skills and confidence during the time they are at camp.
Camp Type...
My camp was a Christian Camp, it was a great and rewarding camp to work at as I am a Christian so being able to practice my faith and share it with other staff members and children at camp was amazing.
I was not anxious about the camp type as I am a Christian and knew the camp would suit me.
