Sending over 9,000 applicants to camp every year certainly takes a lot of work! Throughout our peak times of the season we recruit for seasonal positions to help with the demand and who better to help people get to camp then someone's who has been through it all themselves!

What kind of roles?

The Camp America Head Office is made up of a number of different departments; Applications, Visas, Police Check and Payments, Marketing, Customer Service and Medicals. Each department has a number of positions designed to help through their specific work load. All of the positions are based in our London office and will have different start/end dates based on their duties and peak times. Although you may be hired in one department we do require all of our seasonal staff to be flexible and happy to take on a number of different tasks when asked - if you've been to camp you'll be used to that! As well as the specific positions in the office there will also be the opportunity to help out at our flagship events such as; Info Nights, Recruitment Fairs and Orientations.

Who are we looking for?

We're always looking for people who have had their own positive and enjoyable camp experience. Whichever department you're working in your ultimate goal is to help our applicants through the process as smoothly as possible and set them on the way to an incredible summer. We're looking for people with a strong work ethic and with skills in; communication, teamwork, self-motivation, customer service and preferably some admin experience. Throughout the season the work load can get very demanding and may require some evening and weekend work. We want people in our office to have the same positive energy and enthusiasm for the programme that they did on camp. Marketing Assistant - Seasonal Position (temporary)

Closing date for applications: Friday January 3rd 2020

We are looking for someone to assist our marketing team, to deliver marketing campaigns and promote the summer camp experience.

Passion for summer camp is important but a background in marketing is also highly desirable. This will be an office-based role in London and we are looking for a good all-rounder, who can help with a variety of jobs including;
Attending events and speaking about the program, engaging with prospective participants through social media and in person, writing and creating content, nurturing our advanced-skilled participants and email marketing, among other duties.

We are looking for a passionate person who can use their initiative and be creative. The role will include some overtime on weekends.
Contract type – Temporary (6 months)

Experience in a marketing role, or similar degree is highly desirable.

Marketing Co-ordinator - Permanent Position

Job Description: Closing date for applications: Friday January 3rd 2020

Job summary/main purpose: To increase recruitment and programme participation through our National partner networks by growing, establishing and fostering key contacts.  Ensure these contacts continue to deliver long term growth and sustainability. 

Main Responsibilities

To market our programme directly via National Partners (e.g. BUCS) and seek to establish new national partnerships. 

Utilise our database to engage University & employability partnerships, seeking additional opportunities to engage with potential applicants on-campus through employability/careers or skills events. Prove a lively & engaging public speaker, taking part in our Roadshows, Orientations and Recruitment events. To assist in producing relevant and engaging campaigns across our social networks. Be able to balance creative work with the requirement to be an organised administrator with the ability to work to a budget. Any other duties as required.

Our wish list is for an energetic, enthusiastic and youth oriented-individual who is….

A previous participant on the Camp America programme. A creative thinker, who is as visual as they are great with words. A self-starter, who can work under their own steam but loves a good brain storm! Previous marketing experience would be desirable but not necessary. Able to work with all the standard office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) but importantly has a knowledge of Photoshop and video editing software such as Adobe Premier. A real people person and great negotiator and relishes building relationships but isn’t afraid to say no when they need to. Not afraid of getting up in front of large crowds & delivering information in a fun & interesting way at events. Someone with a logical brain when it comes to data-management. Willing to travel & take part in evening and weekend work when required. Someone who really will go the extra mile, give it 100% and go above & beyond to deliver.

US J-1 Visa Programme Support Staff - Seasonal position 

January 2020 to June 2020 – £10.55ph*

We require a highly organised, capable and flexible individual with an eye for detail to assist our applicants with their application to the US Embassy for their required J1 visa.  Must have solid admin skills and the ability to work under own initiative to tight deadlines.  Importantly you must be comfortable in dealing with queries from applicants in a diplomatic and efficient manner.
