How did you discover Camp America?

I was an Australian applicant! It’s a fairly well-known programme in South Australia and there were people at school I’d known who’d done it before. I had actually originally started my first application for the 2013 summer but finally got the chance to go in 2017 when I got hired at the 2017 Sydney Job Fair, so the timing was perfect!

Favourite summer camp memory?

Some of the best moments were those little moments with my bunk sitting, chatting, making bracelets, and generally getting to know the kids. I was lucky to have the same kids from when they were 9/10 and up to 14 years old. I also made some of my best friends at camp that I still see today. Other highlights for me was Saturday night Havdalah, where we’d gather in our bunks, sing our camp alma matters, super wholesome evenings. A special shout out to Color War for being a camp highlight as well, even getting the chance to be a Captain and Head Honcho over the years was so much fun! 

What did summer camp teach you?

It gave me more confidence to be myself, opened my eyes to a completely new experience and was the most wholesome, crazy, loud, tiring and generally amazing summers of my life!

JUST GO FOR IT! GO TO CAMP!
