Camp Overview
Camp Pinewood is a co-ed resident camp operated by the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago since 1925. Campers, age 6-17, come from Chicago, all over the Mid-West, and the world to enjoy great activities, make lasting friendships, and develop skills that will benefit them throughout their lives. Our diverse population of campers is served by a diverse group of role models; each with their own passion and skills to share with our campers. Our Camp Director's philosophy - success is measured differently for each person; and camp doesn't just happen, WE make it happen. The mission of the Metropolitan Chicago YMCA is to develop strong children, families and communities across Metropolitan Chicago through academic readiness, character development, violence prevention, fitness and healthy living.
