Camp Overview
We are a camp that serves children and adults with mild special needs in central Wisconsin. Each session serves a different population and sessions run from Sunday - Friday. The populations we serve are: blind or visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing, youth with intellectual disabilities or autism, youth with diabetes and youth with epilepsy. Our campers are independent enough to be served by a ratio of one staff member for every six campers. We'll provide the training for staff to learn how to make small changes to meet the needs of our populations. We are a little more modern than other camps with cabins that are heated and air conditioned with bathrooms inside and shared lounges. We have all the "traditional" camp activities including a large challenge course and our private 45 acre lake makes swimming and boating a great time!
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff are off Friday afternoons at 4 PM until 11 AM on Sunday. Monday - Thursday each staff person gets a two hour time block off.
STAFF QUALITIES
Our staff need to be at least 18 years old and are ready to be at camp with our campers. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic staff who are willing to learn and try new things in order to provide our campers with a terrific week at Camp. While experience is always great to have, our 10 day staff training session will provide staff with the tools and skills to work with our campers and lead the camp activities. We'll help you gain valuable experience working with our campers.
