Camp Overview
Tomahawk Ranch is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Approximately one hour southwest of Denver the state capitol. Accommodations include platform canvas tents, seasonal shelters and lodges. Activities may include: canoeing and standup paddle boarding, homesteading, gardening, high ropes and zip lining, archery, small animal farm, rock climbing, arts and crafts, dance parties, stargazing, swimming, dramatics, photography, hiking, backpacking, nature walks, cooking outdoors, sports and horseback riding at a local stable.
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff typically work 6 days a week with a 24 hour time off period at least one day a week. Monday-Thursday's staff receive a 2 hour break during the day. On days off there are fun staff-planned activities with transportation provided.
STAFF QUALITIES
A passion to want to work with children and a liking for children. Staff members must be patient, caring, considerate, a team player, creative, passionate, willing to be silly, dress up and act like a 'goof-ball'. They must be able to handle a rugged mountain environment which includes a lot of hiking, walking, camping, and many other active activities.
