Camp Overview
What benefits do children derive from camp? Experiences that develop confidence and the ability to communicate, to work as a team, to take on responsibility, to be creative and innovative, to want to make the world a better place. How do horses bring out the best in children? Caring for a horse creates a sense of Responsibility; Interacting with a living being teaches Respect; Creating a bond with a kind, gentle creature shows Compassion; Being in control of an animal larger than yourself grants Confidence... And the shared love for horses builds friendships that last. This combination allows us to give children a unique experience which will help them thrive in the world!
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff works Mon- Fri from 8:45 through 5:00. Evenings and Weekends are off. Extra work (extra money) opportunities are offered to staff helping out doing maintenance work.
STAFF QUALITIES
They must be dynamic, responsible and excellent role models. It’s okay for them to have fun, and be silly, in fact, it is entirely essential to a fun camp atmosphere. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic people who love working with children, and want to make a difference in a child’s life.
