Camp Overview
Rock Hill Camp is set on 190 acres of beautiful, wooded land, providing the perfect setting for outdoor adventure. Our staff play a key role in creating a fun, safe, and supportive environment where campers can grow, learn, and make lasting memories.
Staff have the opportunity to lead and participate in a wide range of activities, including boating and swimming on the camp’s lake, hiking scenic trails, and facilitating experiences on our archery range and ropes courses. With low, mid, and high ropes elements, as well as a large game field and dedicated program spaces for crafts, badge work, and games, there’s always something exciting happening at camp.
We offer a variety of roles, including general counselors, activity specialists, support staff, and leadership positions. Whether you're guiding campers through outdoor adventures, teaching skills, or ensuring camp runs smoothly, every staff member plays an essential role in making the summer a success.
Staff receive daily breaks, scheduled time off, and opportunities to explore the local area, including a group trip to New York City. Accommodation, meals, and access to camp facilities are included, and transportation is provided to local shopping areas.
If you love working with kids, enjoy the outdoors, and are ready for a rewarding summer experience, Rock Hill Camp is the perfect place to be.

Hmm... What's your role?
Staff Time Off
Each staff member receives one 2-hour break each day and at least one 24-hour break each weekend. During their time off, staff may choose to stay on camp in their tent or cabin. Staff are always welcome to stay on property, and there is always at least one leadership team member on duty with a camp vehicle if staff need to get to the store.
We schedule at least one group trip to New York City during the summer. Additionally, core staff on duty will arrange optional on and off-site activities such as craft projects or bowling during time off.
Transportation is provided to the Metro North train station, where staff can purchase tickets for trips into the city or to local shopping locations.
Staff are expected to be in their units by 11 pm.
Staff Qualities
We're looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable people who enjoy working with children and being part of a team. Camp life is all about energy, teamwork, and making a positive impact, so being adaptable and up for new experiences is key.
Staff should be good role models, happy to get stuck into activities, and ready to support campers while having fun themselves. A positive attitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to work as part of a team will go a long way. Camp is a busy but rewarding environment, and we want staff who bring good vibes, patience, and a sense of adventure.
