Camp Overview
Consisting of Pine Summit in Big Bear Lake and Camp Mt. Crags in Malibu, California South Camps make up the best of what California has to offer - the beach and the mountains. We provide a life changing Christian summer camp experience for 2000 inner city Los Angeles youth. Our campers experience God's creation while making lifelong friends.
STAFF TIME OFF
Camp is squeezed into two hectic months. So, time off is not ample. There are six regular camps that tyically run on a Monday-Saturday schedule. Campers arrive Monday around noon and depart on Saturdays around 10am. Staff meets together for a debrief before being dismissed for Saturday to Sunday break. Staff are expected to be back on camp on Sunday night. There are two additional, unique, camps this year. One is a a week long in which parents will also be at the camp. Children will stay with their parents in the evening, and therefore staff will have most if not all evenings off.
