Camp Overview
Camp Overview: Kamp Kohut is a family owned, traditional overnight camp for boys and girls ages 7-15; located in the Southern Lakes Region of Maine. Campers come for one of our two four-week session, while staff are here for both session. Founded in 1907, we pride ourselves on our comprehensive, elective program, an array of nature-oriented trips, and our incredible history of camp events and traditions. Our exceptional staff to camper ratio of 1:2 supports our nurturing, inclusive and individual approach.
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff are assigned one period off daily as well as evening and day off rotations throughout the summer. There is also a two-day break in July between the two camper sessions.
STAFF QUALITIES
Kohut is seeking positive, energetic, kind, responsible, and talented staff to join the Kohut family. Our skills-based program requires staff to be experts in their field and willing to participate in all sorts of other activities around camp. Staff will work in teams both in classes and cabins as well as lead campers in off-camp nature-based trips around Maine once a week. Our minimum age is 19 or with at least 1 year at University.
