Camp Overview
House in the Wood is a coed resident camp for inner city children from Chicago. Located in Delavan in rural Southeastern Wisconsin, we have a comfortable wooded campus on the shore of a beautiful lake. House in the Wood’s goal is to provide its campers with positive alternatives to negative urban lifestyles. We expose our campers to a wide variety of different activities, people and cultures so they have a better idea of their choices in life. In addition to traditional camp activities such as swimming, camping and boating, our program emphasizes effective communication, positive group interaction, and mutual respect.
