Camp Overview
What's better than camp? TWO camps! Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia hosts 5 happening weeks of summer camp at two uniquely whimsical locations - Camp Low in Savannah, GA and Camp Tanglewood in Augusta, GA.
At Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia we are intentionally creating a unique summer camp experience for every G.I.R.L. - go-getter, innovator, risk-taker and leader. Each week centers around an epic theme and features camptivities new to camp this year. You could be trying yoga on stand-up paddleboards one day and climbing trees the next.
The breakdown:
June 1 - June 5: Team Training June 7 - June 26: Camp Tanglewood, Augusta, GA June 28 - July 11: Camp Low, Savannah, GA
Camp Low is situated 20 minutes from downtown Savannah, GA, the birthplace of Girl Scouts in the United States. It is located on it's own 300 acre salt-marsh island and home to an abundance of next level adventures like biking, canoeing, swimming, archery, rock wall and zip line. Team members will live in open air cabins with ceiling fans and electricity. Each living unit has it's own bathroom facilities with showers and bathrooms as well as a indoor, air conditioned hang out space called a Unit House.
Camp Tanglewood is located in the heart of Augusta, GA, home of the Masters Golf Tournament. Located 3 hours from Savannah, we start our summer here with team training and 3 camper weeks. When you think of camp (or the parent trap!), this is the kind of camp you think of. Tall pines, hilly hikes and a lake called Frog Hollow. Campers and team members enjoy activities like swimming, tree climbing, challenge course, and shooting sports. Team Members will enjoy open air cabins with electricity.
