Camp Overview
Ferncliff is a nonprofit camp and conference center located on 1,200 acres just west of Little Rock. We are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church Camp and Conference (USA) but welcome campers and staff of all faith traditions. Since 1937, we have been focusing on hospitality, outreach and sustainability as a year-round conference facility and a summer youth camp.
In the summer, Ferncliff welcomes over 1,500 campers in 8 weeks of overnight, day, and traveling day camp programs. All of our programs include tons of camp activities, like fishing, boating, arts and crafts, hiking, nature study, visiting the farm and garden, large group games, archery, slingshots, swimming, worship, and a tight-knit small group experience of Christian community.
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff get one-hour breaks each workday. We finish a week of camp around 5pm on Friday and start the next week around 2pm on Sunday. The time in between is off time for staff. The week of July 1st-6th is an option work week.
STAFF QUALITIES
We look for motivated, hardworking, fun-loving, passionate, patient, and kind young adults who enjoy working with youth and spending time being active outdoors. We hire staff from a variety of faith traditions, but require our staff members to belong to a Christian faith since all campers and staff participate in daily worship and Bible study.
