Camp Overview
Elks Camp Moore provides an overnight residential camp program for individuals with special needs and disabilities. The campers range between the ages of 7 and 21 years old and receive a 1 staff to 1 camper ratio (some independent campers share 1 staff to 2 campers). With this high camper ratio we are able to provide campers with the best experience possible and allow the staff members to focus their attention and time appropriately. Campers participate in a 7 day program (Sunday late afternoon - Saturday morning). The camp provides campers and staff with fully air conditioned facilities, wifi, cabin refrigerators. Our camp provides staff with separate cabins (except for when on duty) allowing your nights off to truly be nights off (this is extremely rare as most staff sleep nightly in camper cabins). Campers participate in 5 main camp programs that include, Arts & Crafts, Music & Movement, Swimming, Sports & Recreation and Nature & Science. Every day is individually themed allowing creativity, expression and change in the schedule. Come speak with us at our booth for additional information.
STAFF TIME OFF
The staff have a guaranteed time off from 12 noon on Saturday till 12 noon on Sunday. Staff also have several evenings off a week when not on evening night duty (only twice per week). Also when staff are not scheduled rest duty the staff have an hour off
