Camp Overview
Chanco on the James has one of the most successful youth camping programs in Virginia. The camp program has been running continuously since 1968 and is accredited by the American Camping Association. The residential camp for boys and girls ages 8 to16 years is a place for having fun, making friends, trying new things, and enjoying God’s creation. Chanco has been voted “Best in Virginia” by Virginia Living Magazine the past 6 years running.

Staff Time Off
One 24 hour period off during a 2-week session plus at least a full day off between sessions. International staff typically go with a local staff member on their time off.
Staff Qualities
Looking for individuals who will support our ministry, participate in Episcopal worship, and foster a sense of community in which relationships and friendships can grow. In 2018 we are specifically looking for 2 female belayers/ropes facilitators.
