Camp Overview
Camp Poyntelle, founded in 1947, is a co-ed traditional sleep away camp located in the Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. We serve a geographically diverse groups of campers from across the northeast for 7, 4, and 3 week sessions covering a broad and complete range of activities. Situated on roughly 500 acres, our property and facility has everything you would expect from a well-rounded and low-key camp! The gem of our facility is our large 71-acre private lake where aquatics activities ranging from waterskiing and wakeboarding, to our waterpark, to sailing and fishing all take place. Add to that our new ropes course, miles of hiking and biking trails, plentiful athletics fields and courts, and a large arts building, and you have yourselves all the makings of a truly special camp experience.

Staff Qualities
We are looking, first and foremost, for a good match on our camp values. Those individuals that can demonstrate that they possess kindness, empathy, leadership, independence, and responsibility are right off the bat a great fit for us. It is important to note that though we are a Jewish camp, we are not religious, simply values-driven with some cultural pieces added to it. We look for a very diverse staff and often recruit from 20+ countries around the world. A willingness to join certain program activity teams (i.e. aquatics, ropes, etc) is always a plus!
