Camp Overview
Pinecliffe has crafted life-changing summers for over 105 years. Owned and operated by the same family since its founding in 1917, Pinecliffe is filled with tradition. Located on the shores of Crystal Lake in Maine you can guarantee your summer will be filled with gorgeous days, fun, excitement, and memories. Our all-girls camp focuses on independence, confidence, and strength in all aspects of life. We look for counselors with different backgrounds and experiences to become part of our family. We value empathy, compassion, individuality, and kindness above all else. At its core, Pinecliffe is a place where we teach girls to strive for success while continuously supporting their teammates and friends. Every girl is an athlete, an actor, a sculptor, an adventurer, and an amazing friend.
With the help of our amazing staff Pinecliffe creates a safe environment where risk-taking is encouraged and embraced. Our campers and counselors alike return summer after summer because of the connections and bonds built in just eight short weeks. We believe that well rounded girls grow into well grounded women. At Pinecliffe, above all else, we value each other.
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff have roughly 1 day off a week (there are 6 total over 8.5 weeks). The day-off starts at 9:30AM and staff must be home at camp by 12:00AM. Staff recieve a minimum of an additional two nights off a week (starting at 9:15 PM) and may recieve occasional long nights off (starting at 6:00 PM) through out the summer. Staff also have a free rest hour roughly every other day.
STAFF QUALITIES
We are looking for staff members who are creative, reliable, energetic, and have a passion for working with children. One of our many goals is to offer you an opportunity to learn from our talented mentors and our experienced staff. We want you to continue to develop your coaching and teaching skills and, of course, have fun! We love staff who have a can-do attitude and are willing to get silly with the girls! For our staff minimum ages we need: Female 18 (preferably with one year of university) or Male 21.
