Camp Overview
At Camp Mihaska, we have over 600 campers who attend each year. Our ages range from 6 to 17 years old. We have so many fun activities to do while at camp—for both students and counselors. Such as roasting marshmallows around a camp fire, hiking, tomahawk throwing, swimming, paddle boating, zip lining, rock climbing, basketball, tennis, put—put golfing, and much more! Most importantly, when you attend Camp Mihaska, you’ll get to see the beautiful landscape of the Ozark Mountains. In addition, St. Louis Missouri, is only 45 minutes to a hour drive from camp. There are many fun activities and sightseeing attractions for you to visit.

Moreover, as a camp counselor you will supervise camp activities and develop recreational plans for the youth. You will generally work with children in residential summer camps and be responsible for particular groups of children assigned to your care. Your responsibilities will include guiding youth between the ages of 6 and 17 (depending on the age group visiting camp that particular week) scheduling group activities, perform weekly skits, leading devotionals, providing emotional support, making new campers feel welcome and comfortable, and last but not least, praying for student and leading them to Christ. Ultimately, you’ll be making life long connections and memories with students, in which they will never forget!
So, if you’re looking for a camp home for the summer, please look no further: Camp Mihaska is an exciting place to work!
STAFF TIME OFF
Counselors are assigned students each week. CMT (camp ministry team) are assigned around 6 to 8 campers to mentor, do activities with, lead bible small groups, pray with and much more.
A typical work day is from 9AM to 9PM with periodical breaks up to two to three hours each day. We run a very flexible work schedule for our counselors. We understand the importance of giving counselors time off throughout week. Counselors have a great responsibility in being a mentor (big sister and big brother) to the students. So, it’s imperative that they get the best treatment and rest that they can get.
STAFF QUALITIES
Caring, sensitive, encouraging, self motivated, strategic, fun, energetic, and last but not least Christ centered.
