Camp Overview
An adventure awaits you here, whether it’s taking in the mountain air, splashing in the pool, or savoring the thrill of our challenge course, there is so much to explore. Set in the George Washington National Forest, May Flather offers traditional camp activities blended with thrilling outdoor adventure challenges for girls in ages 9 to 17. Historic Stone Lodge, one of the camp’s oldest structures, is a great place for a girl to express herself creatively with arts and crafts or see what it is like to weave on our antique barn looms. A challenge course helps girls work as a team, build confidence and gain problem solving skills. Girls looking to step out of their comfort zones and go on new adventures, can go rock climbing, caving, backpacking, and rafting. Highly trained staff member supervise all adventure activities. All girls participate in the climbing tower, hiking, archery, swimming and cookouts.
STAFF TIME OFF
Sessions run Sunday to Friday. Campers arrive Sunday afternoon, staff have off 1 hour on Sundays. Mondays through Thursdays, staff have off 3 hours each day, except for when it's their night off. Staff have one night off a week from 6pm to midnight. Staff have off 1 hour on Fridays and campers leave around 5pm. Staff are off for the weekend from Friday around 7pm to Sunday at 11am.
