Camp Overview
Camp Kinder Ring, filled with Friendship, Love and Spirit, has been welcoming children into its “wonderland” for almost 100 years. Nestled in the Hudson Valley, in Hopewell Junction, New York on more than 100 acres of pristine property and overlooking beautiful Sylvan Lake, Camp Kinder Ring boasts tremendous facilities, programming and staff. It offers the Pinnacle in Sleep-Away Camp Experience for boys and girls aged 7-16. From the moment each camper and his/her parents step through our gate, they become part of our family. Camp Kinder Ring is proud of the variety of programming offered to expose children to a wide array of activities – from an impressive Athletic Program, to a magnificent Waterfront including a huge swimming pool and exciting lake activities, to Arts and Crafts, Drama, Adventure Center and Ropes Course, Jewish Culture program, a state of the art movie theater, recently updated athletic facilities, and several travel programs to just name a few.
Our staff comes from over 17 countries around the world and we are proud of our strong return rate of international staff – many being with us for multiple years. Our staff receive comprehensive training and guidance at the onset of the summer and then throughout. There is an air conditioned staff lounge complete with computers, wifi and television and our staff enjoy all the activities on our property and our proximity to New York City and many other exciting locations. Once you enter our gates as a staff member – you become part of the Kinder Ring lifelong family!
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff are off at minimum one period daily and then more than half of the evenings each week from approximately 10pm through 1am. Staff also receive one day off weekly, with the exception of the first and last weeks of camp.
STAFF QUALITIES
We look for staff who bring something special to our staff repoitoire at Kinder Ring - whether it be a skill, a personality trait, an interest or something else. We look for highly motivated individuals who have a strong desire to work with children in a most positive manner - ultiamtely making the world a better place!
