Camp Overview
As an Episcopal camp, Galilee is committed to caring for people as whole beings, valuing each person’s body, mind, spirit, and need for community. Whether in the chapel or out on the trail, Galilee invites campers and staff alike to grow in love for themselves, one another, God, and the environment around them. Through the hopes we share with each other, the risks we take, the songs we sing, and the stories we tell, we encourage all of our campers to engage in reflection, positive action, and outdoor exploration.
STAFF TIME OFF
We believe in a fully integrated community in which the staff and counselors live side-by-side with our campers. As a staff member, you will have a 2 hour break everyday, as well as a 24-48 hour block of time off between each session. Staff often spend their two hour breaks at our private beach, catching up friends, or running down the street to town. Breaks between sessions can be spent exploring rock climbing crags, swimming in the vast quantities of high sierra lakes, or hiking to the summits of 10,000 ft peaks.
