Camp Overview
Camp Friendship is located in central Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, surrounded by over 600 acres of rolling hills and scenic woods. Our camp property boasts a lake for fishing, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, tennis courts, a swimming pool, gymnastics center, archery ranges, sports fields, basketball gym, low and high ropes courses, an outdoor drama theater, arts studios, and 2 1/2 miles of river frontage on the Rivanna River. Camp Friendship also has an exceptional Equestrian Center with over 85 horses, multiple indoor and outdoor rings and miles of scenic trails to explore. Founded in 1966, Camp Friendship is family owned and run. We offer campers ages 7-16 the opportunity to experience their best summer ever through connection, experience and growth in a natural setting. At Camp Friendship, everything goes back to a simpler time, which is particularly powerful with today’s plugged in world.

Staff have 1 hour off each day and one 24-hour day off each week.

We are looking for kind, caring, selfless staff that truly care about kids and are willing to make them the center of attention. We hire staff members for their outstanding character and their willingness to go the extra mile to ensure campers have the best possible experience. On any given day, our staff are surrounded by forests, mountains, sunshine, starry night skies and of course…kids! Not bad for a day at the “office.”
