Camp Overview
High above the Elkhorn River Valley, you will find the ever-scenic Camp Crossed Arrows! With 157 acres, amazing ecosystems, dense woods, river access and open meadows, it’s a perfect setting for enjoying the great outdoors. While this camp is best known for horse programs, it’s so much more! You will hike through the woods and along the riverbank, practice archery, go fishing and swimming, cook outdoors, sleep in a climate-controlled yurt, and even host performing arts and Harry Potter themed camps!
We are thrilled to be the first in Nebraska and the surrounding region to offer a five-station Zip Line Tour!! The zip line covers more than 1,950 feet and is one of a kind! This is perfect for any Go-Getter!!

Staff Time Off
Typically, staff work Sunday night to Friday evening while girls are at camp. Staff get 2 hours of time off each day while girls are at camp. Weekend time off usually starts Friday night until Sunday afternoon. There is additional time off around July 4th as our camps are closed from July 4th until July 7th.
Staff Qualities
Spend your summer working with Girl Scouts helping girls appreciate nature. With programs designed for horse lovers, archery enthusiasts, nature lovers, zip lining, future chefs and budding artists and performers, we have something for everyone!
We are looking for staff who are outgoing, flexible, take initiative, love being outdoors, and demonstrate leadership. Staff must be able to effectively work with girls, parents, volunteers, staff and diverse communities. Staff must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment. Above all else we are looking for staff who are dedicated to ensuring all campers have an amazing camp experience with Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska.
Girl Scouts empowers girls to develop a strong sense of self, have positive values, seek challenges, form healthy relationships and exhibit community problem solving skills. Join us this summer to help build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
