Camp Overview
Along the crystal-clear waters of Walnut Creek and near the apple orchards of historic Nebraska City, you will discover Camp Catron. This gorgeous camp sits on 107 lush acres of a woodland oasis. In addition to a spacious lodge, nature center and pool, it is home to Sky Camp, eight elevated tree houses nestled in the forest where girls can sleep under the stars. You will go swimming and hiking, practice archery, track animals, cook outdoors and host adventure camps, including dabbling into the magical world of Harry Potter.
For the challenge seekers, we have dynamic low and high challenge courses with a zip line, giant swing and the flying squirrel.;

Staff Qualities
Spend your summer working with Girl Scouts helping girls appreciate nature. With programs designed for horse lovers, archery enthusiasts, nature lovers, zip lining, future chefs and budding artists and performers, we have something for everyone!
We are looking for staff who are outgoing, flexible, take initiative, love being outdoors, and demonstrate leadership. Staff must be able to effectively work with girls, parents, volunteers, staff and diverse communities. Staff must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment. Above all else we are looking for staff who are dedicated to ensuring all campers have an amazing camp experience with Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska.
Girl Scouts empowers girls to develop a strong sense of self, have positive values, seek challenges, form healthy relationships and exhibit community problem solving skills. Join us this summer to help build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.
