Camp Overview
Camp Arrowhead is located in the historic Columbia River Gorge. Camp Arrowhead is one of three overnight camps operated by Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington. This camp has a focus of outdoor challenge! With a climbing wall, hiking trails, and many off-camp waterfall trips, Camp Arrowhead offers something for everyone. Arrowhead also offers canoeing, archery, and swimming in both the lake and the pool. While programs run grades K-12, the typical age is 4th-8th grade. Counselors sleep in their own cabin separate from the girls and have a staff house to relax in on time off.
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff have two hours off per day and at least a 36 hour break a week. This often falls on Saturday/Sunday but sometimes falls in the middle of the week. Transportation is available to international staff during the longer breaks.
STAFF QUALITIES
We look for staff who are interested in furthering their experience in working with children. These jobs are both mentally and physically exhausting so we need someone who is able to dedicate themselves to the schedule. Flexibility is a must as the camp days are always changing, and each group is different. Staff need to be able to live comfortably with up to 20 other people (mostly women) and be able follow the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
