Whatever Happens on Results Day, You’ve Got Options
11.08.26
Tomorrow, some plans will fall perfectly into place.
Some will change completely.
And plenty of people will get the results they wanted and still have absolutely no idea what they want to do next.
That’s Results Day.
It can feel like one morning is supposed to decide everything that comes after it. Where you’ll go. What you’ll do. Whether the plan you’ve had for months - maybe even years - is actually happening.
But whatever happens tomorrow, you don’t need to have your whole future figured out by lunchtime.
Going to uni?
Congrats! A whole new chapter is about to start.
But going to university doesn’t mean the next few years have to be all about lectures, deadlines and exams.
Your summers are yours.
They’re a chance to go somewhere new, meet people from all over the world and do something completely different for a few months.
That’s where Camp America can come in.
Spend your summer working at a summer camp in the USA, make friends from around the world and then head back to uni with a summer you’ll have a lot to talk about.
Taking a gap year?
Maybe university isn’t the plan right now.
Maybe you want a break from education, some time to work out what’s next, or just the chance to go somewhere new and do something different.
You don’t need to have every month of your gap year perfectly planned.
Camp America can be one part of it. Spend your summer working at camp, then travel in the USA afterwards if you want to.
Work. Travel. Meet new people. See where it takes you.
Plans changed?
Maybe tomorrow doesn’t go how you’d hoped.
That’s hard. And you don’t need anyone telling you that your results “don’t matter” when, right now, they matter to you.
But a change of plan isn’t the end of the plan.
There’s Clearing. Different courses. Different universities. Gap years. Work. Travel. And probably a few options you haven’t even thought about yet.
Give yourself some time to work out what comes next.
No idea what you’re doing yet?
That’s okay too.
There’s a lot of pressure at 18 to pick a direction and somehow know it’s the right one.
You don’t have to.
Sometimes doing something completely outside your normal world can help you work out what you enjoy, what you’re good at and what you want more of.
Camp won’t map out your future for you. But a summer away from home, meeting new people, working, travelling and doing things you’ve never done before? It could be a pretty good place to start.
Tomorrow is one day
Celebrate if you get the results you’ve been hoping for.
Be disappointed if you don’t.
Stick to the plan. Change the plan. Go to uni. Take a gap year. Take some time to work it out.
There’s no single right way to do what comes next.
And whatever happens tomorrow, there are still a lot of good things ahead.
Your results might shape your next step. They don’t get to decide the whole story.
