Start with our two-minute Camp Quiz, then watch your recommendations get smarter as you apply.

From your ideal camp environment to your skills and availability, we'll help you discover camps that fit what you're looking for — and are looking for someone like you.

Your summer. Your preferences. Your camp recommendations.

Here's the thing about American summer camps.

No two camps are exactly alike.

Some have hundreds of staff. Others feel like one big family.

Some are tucked away in the middle of a forest, while others are closer to towns and cities.

Some have staff from all over the world. Others are mostly American.

And where you'll be living? That can be anything from traditional cabins to platform tents or more modern accommodation.

There's no single 'best' camp.

It's about finding the camp that's right for you.

That's why we've created our Camp Quiz.

How does the Camp America Camp Quiz work?

It's simple. Answer a few questions about what you'd love your summer to look like, and we'll recommend camps based on your preferences.

Here's what we'll ask you.

🌲 1. What's your ideal camp setting?

Would you love to be surrounded by nature? Prefer somewhere closer to a town or city? Or maybe you're happy with either?

Tell us what sounds good to you.

🏕️ 2. Big camp or small camp?

Would you prefer a smaller, close-knit camp where everyone knows each other?

Or a bigger camp with loads of people, activities and things happening?

Both can offer an incredible summer. It's about what suits you.

🌎 3. Who do you want to spend your summer with?

Some camps have staff from loads of different countries. Others have predominantly American staff.

Want an international mix? Or fancy being surrounded by Americans for the summer?

You choose.

🛏️ 4. Cabin life or something more outdoorsy?

Traditional wooden cabins? Platform tents? More modern accommodation?

Every camp is different, so tell us what you'd be comfortable with.

And if you're not sure about any of these? That's absolutely fine.

You can select 'No preference' and keep your options open.

Meet your personalised camp recommendations

Once you've completed the quiz, we'll show you camps based on what you've told us.

Your recommendations are organised into three groups:

⭐ Top Picks

These camps tick the most boxes based on what you've told us.

💙 Good Fits

More camps that match your preferences and are worth a closer look.

🔎 More to Explore

Keep your options open! These camps might surprise you.

You can explore different camps, learn more about what makes them unique and start picturing where your summer could take you.

And remember, these are recommendations, not restrictions.

You don't have to choose a camp from your list. They're there to help you explore your options.

But what about my skills?

Here's where your recommendations get even smarter.

When you first take the Camp Quiz, we'll recommend camps based on your interests and preferences.

As you progress through your Camp America application, your recommendations become even more personalised.

We'll also consider:

• 🏅 Your skills - whether that's tennis, lifeguarding, outdoor adventure or something else.
• 📅 Your availability - showing camps that need staff when you're available.
• 🎂 Your age - making sure you meet the camp's age requirements.
• 🏕️ Camp hiring needs - including whether they're recruiting staff of your gender.

As you apply, we'll use this information to show you camps that meet your eligibility and availability, as well as matching your interests and skills.

Because finding the right camp isn't just about what you're looking for. It's about finding camps looking for someone like you.

And we'll show you WHY we've recommended each camp.

No guessing why a camp has appeared in your recommendations.

Every camp comes with a 'Why This Camp' breakdown, showing what matches your preferences and skills.

Love tennis? Prefer a big, energetic camp? Want somewhere surrounded by nature?

You'll see the reasons behind each recommendation, making it easier to decide which camps deserve a closer look.

The more we know about you, the smarter your recommendations become.

Like what you see? Make your Camp Choices!

Your recommendations aren't just there to look at.

Once you've reached the relevant stage of your Camp America application, you can select camps you're interested in through Camp Choices.

And here's where it gets exciting.

Your selections help get your application noticed by those camps.

When you select a camp:

• Your application will be shown to that camp.
• You'll appear higher in its applicant searches.
• You'll be more visible when the camp looks for potential staff.

Selecting a camp doesn't guarantee you'll be hired there, but it's a great way to show your interest.

And remember, our US placement team is also working behind the scenes to help find the right camp for you.

You tell us what interests you. We help get your application noticed.

Why does finding the right camp matter so much?

Because you're not just choosing somewhere to work.

You're choosing where you'll live, who you'll spend your summer with and the kind of experience you'll have.

At Camp America, we've spent over 50 years building relationships with US summer camps and helping people find their place.

And we've always believed something important:

Getting placed isn't the goal. Getting placed at the right camp is.

Our personalised camp recommendations are another way we're making that happen.

We want you to feel excited about the camps you're exploring, confident about your choices and open to opportunities you might never have considered.

Your kind of camp is out there. Let's find it.

Big camp or small camp? Lakeside or somewhere closer to a city? Cabins or platform tents?

You might already know exactly what you're looking for. Or you might have absolutely no idea.

Either way, we've got you.
