5 Reasons to watch the Super Bowl this year

Its that time of the year again, it is Super Bowl season baby! This time round the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs, in what promises to be one of the most entertaining Super Bowl’s in years! I mean it can’t get worse than last year can it? So why stay up and jeopardise that ever so precious sleep schedule, well here is our 5 reasons to watch!

1. It’s an easy excuse to meet up with friends and eat an undignified amount of food!

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t need an excuse to have a party! This is the perfect reason to invite round all your friends and watch the game, oh and did we mention the common theme with Super Bowl party’s is the sheer amount of food! So, stock up the cupboards and raid the supermarket because you’re in this for the long haul.

 

2. The half time show!

For most people the half time show at the Super Bowl is the main attraction and let’s be honest, some of you are definitely agreeing with that sentiment. This year it’s the turn of two queen’s; Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. They promise to put on a performance not to forget! So make sure you make it to at least half time to witness, probably the most talked about moments of the whole night.

 

3. Get a head start learning the rules of one of Americas most confusing sports!

We here at Camp America don’t pretend to be the most knowledgeable on American sports, but American Football takes the prize for the most complicated of the lot! With enough rules to put our football to shame, why not get ahead and start learning Americas game to impress the locals this summer!

 

4. It can give you something to talk about with your campers this summer.

When getting to know your campers this summer, its very helpful to have a common interest and the Super Bowl is the ultimate cheat for that. Most campers will have watched the game with friends or family so even something as little as knowing a few players will go along way with them!

 

5. No Patriots

Finally, the Patriots aren’t here to ruin the party! The serial party poopers are nowhere to be seen this year, so what better reason to celebrate than the fact the favourites are nowhere to be seen!
