G’day folks! I’m Scott, and I’ll be returning to YMCA Camp Duncan, Illinois, in the summer of 2019. During the Australian summer I work in the film industry, mainly in Locations and Production Office, but when it gets cold I jet off to the US for another amazing summer at my home away from home.
Camp is an absolutely incredible experience! You know that’s the case when you can’t decide what your favourite moment of last summer was; yellow team winning Colour War and you jumping up and down dressed like a minion, or your cabin being the camp Lip Sync Battle champions singing a shortened version of Bohemian Rhapsody!
This year Camp Duncan and Camp Independence are taking our already prominent media outreach ten steps further with a full media team of photographers and videographers. So stay tuned in for a lot of smiling faces and awesome content!
I also have a little tradition which started as a New Year’s Resolution, and that’s to take a photo a day! I do this through Instagram and I’ll be documenting my whole summer experience, so keep a look out for that to see what being a counsellor is really like!
