Stressing out and worrying because your interview is coming up? Don’t.

I’m not lying when I say the Camp America interviews are the most relaxed interviews you could attend! It is likely you’re already aware of the location of your interview, and what’s the bet, it’s in an informal setting? If it’s not, it’s probably because of the nature of your interviewers other job and they are holding your interview within their working hours i.e. On break! BUT the whole interview process is relaxed and enjoyable, trust me.

I’m someone that works myself up before an interview, and I did what you’re probably doing: searching for possible questions and looking for advice for the interview, and just like I am now, I bet everyone’s saying not to worry!

I can’t remember the questions that were asked but it goes along the lines of asking more about the skills you put down on your application, and then some scenario based questions. The whole point of the interview is for Camp America staff to see you in person and help progress you application further so you have the best chance at placement, so be yourself! Camp America interviewers have all been in the same position as you and have completed at least 2 summers at camp to get to the interviewing position, so they know exactly what it’s like and are there to help :D

Then there’s the question of, what do I wear?  and there’s no set requirements, wear what you feel comfortable in. Obviously it’s nice to see you’ve made an effort, but you don’t have to go through the efforts of getting suited and booted, a pair of jeans and nice t-shirt is perfect!

Anyway, there’s not much more I can say regarding the interview experience other than just be yourself, and relax!
