Camp Overview
Since 1877, The Fresh Air Fund has provided free summer opportunities to more than 1.8 million New York City children from low-income communities. Every summer, 3,500 campers attend one of their six overnight camps in upstate New York. Five of the camps (Camps ABC, Hayden-Marks, Hidden Valley, Mariah and Tommy) are located in Fishkill, NY and one (Camp Junior) is located in Harriman State Park. Each camp offers a well-rounded experience with activities ranging from photography, ceramics, robotics and creative writing to recreation, swimming and outdoor adventure. The Fresh Air Fund hires over 500 staff members from around the world to work at their camps in a variety of roles and staff members are hired to work at a specific Fresh Air Fund camp. Details about each individual camp can be found online at: www.freshair.org/summer-camping-program
STAFF TIME OFF
Staff will receive one day and one night off during each camp session as well as time off in between camp sessions.
