I'm going to this one too! It's nice to have at least one thing not to have to travel for!

I think they go throught different scenarios that might crop up @ Camp & just answer any questions & try & prepare us as much as poss!!!

Too right... it's staring to get expensive! Having to go to London for the Recruitment Fair, Visa and Flight is not ideal. The summer should be worth the effort and money though!

Visa...what a pain but at least that's sorted now! Too right it will! Which Camp are you at and when do you fly? I'm @ Harbour Hills Day Camp in New Jersey, fly out on the 4th June!

So you've got your visa? I'm still at the earliest stage... only just got a confirmation date for the Visa day yesterday. It sounds a right polarva sorting it out. I had hoped it would be pretty straight forward.

I'm based at Camp Schodack near Albany, NY. I fly out on the 10th June so you've got six days more fun than me! Can't wait though... should be a really good summer!

Yeah I got mine last Weds! When you get there aside from que's your in & out in about 15 mins! They just scan your fingers & ask what you'll be doing over there & granted that's it! It's just the paper work that's a pain!

I'm going out early to do my lifeguard/swim instructor course! I can't wait either, just want to go now!!

hey guys :D

I'm a returner to camp this summer and did the orientation last year at sheffield. Basically all it is is an overview of what you will be doing in america, rules, what to pack and some info on trekamerica and those considering travelling after camp. Everything you need to know really!

Its really relaxed and you will sing songs and generally have a laugh so nothing to worry about really.
I'm a student at shefield hallam uni and honestly can't wait for my second summer in the USA.. You guys are gona love it 8)

From General...

I think we should have some kind of pre/post orientation pasternoster-athon... 3 Laps of the building?

We could get sponsors and raise money for the upkeep of the lifts... I'm so excited.

And I'm still waiting for a placement :(
