The concrete jungle where dreams are made of! New York City is world famous for the buildings, landmarks and attractions that are based there and you get to see them all through Camp America!
So you've watched the movies, seen endless episodes of Friends, Sex and the City, How I Met Your Mother, Suits and now you get to see New York with your own eyes! Camp America has already arranged your flights to and from the Big Apple so make the most of your time there and visit all of the famous landmarks, buildings and attractions while you're there.
You can go from enjoying the hustle and bustle of Times Square and relaxing in Central Park to climbing the Empire State Building and Rockefeller Centre for amazing views of the city. Don't leave Manhattan without taking the ferry across to Ellis Island to see the famous Statue of Liberty in all her glory! If you fancy doing a bit of shopping and overpacking your bags before you fly home then check out the famous Fifth Avenue with as many top brand shops as you can think of. Grand Central Terminal is more than just a train station (although very handy for your travels) and is definitely worth a visit, you'll be amazed at the history and architecture there. More recently the National September 11 Memorial & Museum has become a must see whilst in New York and it is amazing to see what a fantastic transformation has been made following such a terrible disaster. If you're in to music and TV then Radio City Music Hall and the NBC Studios offer great tours and maybe you'll even catch a show!
If you’re a big sports fan then there may not be a better city to see sport played, at the highest level. Check out the famous New York Yankees or New York Mets for one of their 100+ games of the season. If baseball’s not your cup of tea then check out the New York Knicks basketball team at Madison Square Garden At Madison Square Garden you’ll also find the New York Rangers, who are the resident Ice-Hockey team of New York.
There's so much to do in New York that you need to spend a couple of days there to see it all and take it all in. Make sure you plan your travel to include 2 or 3 full days so that you can get around everything.
If you want to get the most out of New York and see all the attractions it's often a good idea to plan ahead. This way you can often get cheaper tickets for some of the buildings and attractions and can plan your days around seeing each one.
No it's not just something boring that your parents always want to do! Bus tours are a great tip for tourists to see where all of the best things are and jump on and off everytime you want to see something. You can then always go back for a closer look.
