Camp America is an opportunity you shouldn't miss! It's a chance to do something different with your summer and spend it in the U.S.A. living & working either with children or 'behind the scenes' as support staff on an American Summer Camp. Each year over 7,500 young people take the opportunity… will you be one of them? If you're a 'first timer' to the programme, read on to find out about the fantastic opportunities & experiences you could be part of in summer '08!

If you are looking to recruit summer camp staff please call Nicole Carpenter on 1 800 727 8233 Ext 5160.

We're not going to lie...once you've finished with camp, you'll be well and truly 'cream crackered' (an English way of saying "very tired"!) and in need of a hard-earned rest - and luckily with Camp America, that's just what you get!
Following the end of your placement - you'll have up to 2 months to travel (in total your visa allows for up to 4 months placement followed by 1 month of travel - the beauty of this is that most placements end well within 4 months)
The travel is one of the most fun parts of the programme - it's your time to let loose, kick back, step-up, have fun and live life! And there's no where better to do all of that than in the US. The landscape is indescribable (but we'll give it a go!) from the mountains in Colorado, to the beaches in Florida, from the wide-open spaces of Texas to the old-style charm of Louisiana, from the deserts and canyons of Arizona to the cities of New York, Chicago, Seattle, Washington DC...there is quite honestly something for everyone to enjoy - whether it's nature, beach-life, history, art & culture or just plain shopping there's fun stuff to do in every state.
So where will you head? Down the East Coast? Up the West Coast? Cross Country?
"The past seven summers have given me a major insight into American culture that I just wouldn't have had any other way. Each summer I have been able to spend time travelling across the U.S visiting a number of cities, landmarks and national parks. I have become aware of cultural differences that I never knew existed and I have learnt that the world is a much bigger and more diverse place than I realised." - Kieran, UK

"It' been three days since I got placed and the exitement hasn't died down - in fact it's gotten worse! Thanks to the magic of Facebook I've suddenly got a lot of new "Friends to be" - both returners and fellow newbies - to talk to!"
