Harriman Lodge is an innovative summer facility serving adults (18 and over) who are mild/moderately mentally retarded. The Lodge is designed as an alternative to traditional summer recreational programming for this population. Harriman Lodge offers its guests a variety of recreational and social activities in a less structured format, encouraging guest input and decision. Activities include horseback riding, swimming, boating, sports, arts and crafts, music and dance, internet access in our souvenir shop and new ideas are introduced every year. There are also many evening social activities. The program is divided into 5 two week sessions, each with approximately seventy guests, about 10% are also physically disabled.…
Looking for
Age: 18+
Counsellor Skills: A desire and willingness to give it a go - no experience required.
Campower Skills: Kitchen, dining room, maintenance, laundry, housekeeping.
