I thought it was time for an update seeing as i've been out here for almost a month now! First of all, WOW. Camp is great. Everyone here is so nice and friendly and it's such a beautiful place. I've been working since my second day here, but have had a couple days off, it's so weird being totally cut off from civilisation though. Straaaaaange. The campers arrived yesterday, man it was hectic! Feels so great now though that everyone is here. Such a nice atmosphere. Someone took me to get my social security number today, i checked all my paperwork before we left, had everything, and the director checked it and photocopied it, when we got there, after an hour of waiting to be seen, the woman lady asked to see the original of my J1, so i went to the van to get the rest of my paperwork only to find that that was all photocopies too and that my original was an hour away in my cabin. Bad times. I got bought Subway for lunch though so all was okay, just gotta go another time. I'm currently sat on the porch of one of the units, it's pretty damn cold but meh, you only live once and it's a nice calm evening. Day off tomorrow which means shopping, although i'm not that great a fan of it i need to get more pants and hoodies. I'm gonna run now, pretty chilly and me needs shower time and sleep time, so adios amigos.

What's the story, morning glory..

Rawr.Rawr.RAWR. Oh hai thar. So since the last time I blogged, I have been really ill, 48 hour bug..not nice at all. And also been out on tour! I'm not going to ramble about it too much, but oh god it was brilliant, great bunch of guys, lots of free alcohol, food and accommodation. One of the best days was Liverpool, we got to go to these Australian acoustic session things the next day in the John Lennon Suite at the Hard Days Night Hotel based on The Beatles or something, stunning place, there was posh water and food, haha..amazing views from the balcony too. We also went to The Cavern where The Beatles played, and just WOW. It was insane. So so so so awesome! Way too many awesome things that I could talk about but i'll only share one more, when we were in Bangor (played the Radio One Big Weekend, but a little pub show) we stayed at the promoters friends house, he works for Gilette apparently and is mega rich, which looking at his house, he is, there were like 5 bedrooms or something, but only had three double beds but me and one of the guys got to stay in like the roof bedroom, it was amazing, ace views..but anyway, what I was gonna say..we found parking right outside, but literally had like a foot in front and behind the van and I somehow managed to park it perfectly, with lots of help from the guys shouting, but still, I parked it epically and got many high fives for it. In other news, went to see my best mate with her baby today, she named him Kyran =] sooo cute! I have realised barely any of my blogs relate to CA stuffs, but hey ho. My plan when I get back from camp is to move up to London. My mum said earlier that one of my friends (they work at the same place) went up to my mum and was all ''i'm trying to find things to make Kate stay and not move up to London." Bearing in mind, this is a friend that only uses me for my car the majority of the time, and just picks faults with EVERYTHING, and isn't at all supportive in what i'm doing. When she told me I was soo annoyed! It's just like, yeah, I am gonna miss my friends, but what sort of a friend are you trying to make me stay, just to keep you happy? mum said she turned round to her and was just like "nothing will keep her here, she's gonna go whatever happens." Ugggh, I totally get that it'll be weird without me around, but COME ON, be effing happy for me for once. And she's all like "You HAVE to come and see me when you move away." It's just like ''erm, I don't HAVE to do anything." Seriously. I'm gonna work that on the basis that people come to visit me, then I go to visit them, if I don't get a visit then they don't..i'm not running round trying to squeeze in seeing her all the time when I do it enough now! Jeeeeeeeeez. Anyway, sorry about the ranting. Haha. So anyway, my life aim is to marry a French-Canadian, so they can serenade me in French even though i'll have no clue what they're saying, and then when they talk English, it'll be the best accent in the whole entire world. Over and out.

We come from different towns, and recognise the sounds of giving up.

SOOOOO! It's 25 days til CAMP WINONA! Wahooo. It's going so fast, it's unbelievable, going to visit the family in St Albans tomorrow and Saturday and going to ask about staying at theirs the night before I fly out, i've already asked one of them to take me to the airport and that's fine, so think they're half expecting me to ask to stay, haha. Went to the place yesterday where were storing things from the move, it at a farm my mum used to work on and he had a baby lamb that need feeding! Awwwwww! I miss being able to feed them all the time :( SO cute, he had his bottle then starting sucking/chewing on my finger, I want to swap it for my cat. But anyway, went to the farm to get my clothes so i can have a look through and get what I want for camp out so I can pack. Got a Tour Managing job the other day with a Canadian band called Final Flash a bit later on this month so totally stoked for that! (My favourite kind of people are Canadians.) Also got a job for July with an Irish band, but as i'm not gonna be here, I can't do it but got something for when I get back in October so it's all good! Going even more off camp topic now, I just got back from a Kids In Glass Houses show, which was so amazing! Seriously. Best show i'v been to in ages!! I wasn't really a fan, but my friend called me earlier asking me to go with her so went, and with only having listened to a couple of their songs before, I didn't really expect much, but after a few songs I wished i'd listened to them so much earlier! Got to hang with them a little after aswell and they're a bunch of really nice, genuine down to earth guys. With a nice accent too! (Welsh) Bonus. Anyway I think it's na-nights time for me. (Na-nights was invented for one of my best mates 2 year old sister, and it stuck with everyone, I frequently say to my mum/friends 'right i'm going na-nights now') Also, I don't know why you needed to know the na-nights story, i'm really tired and will probably see how stupid it looks in the morning, but whatever.

Don't wanna wake up to the telephone ring, are you sitting down I need to tell you something, enough is enough.

Hello people friends. I received my Visa and passport back on Friday, and only went for my interview on Tuesday! Sooo stoked now, it is actually real and going to happen. I didn't get a CA shirt with it though :( I hear loads of people are having this problem and finally get them, so will just have to wait it out. I never ever have anything camp related to say, so let's stick to that tradition :P today I went on another bike ride with my friend, then went to feed her horses and chill hang at hers, we decided to watch Avatar, and it got about 10 minutes in and we both looked at each other and said 'Dirty Dancing?' not that Avatar isn't good, but Dirty Dancing is so much WIN. So we watched that, there was a lot of awing, and drooling over Patrick Swayze, who, just for the record, Kim didn't know died last year, I said something like 'It's such a shame he died' and from then till the end of the film, all I had was 'OH MY GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S DEAD!' It was pretty funny. Before I go I just want to say Rest In Peace Emmalia Belle, you beautiful angel. You're safe now, your sister is holding together so well, my heart & thoughts are with your family. <3 Ciao.

What the hell, what happened now?! I really don't know man!

Oh hai thar. Having a right Enter Shikari rawry moment. It is good. Trust me. Sooo, what is new in the land of the bloggers? What's that? Not much. Just a bunch of people waiting around, wasting time, writing blogs, procrastinating, waiting to go to America. Yes, that is exactly what. I had my Visa appointment yesterday, what a nightmare! The appointment went smooth as, apart from the waiting, it literally took about 7 or 8 minutes, hats off to the embassy staff! The journey up there is a different story, a couple of weeks ago i'd booked a day travel card between where I live and London, so I gets to the train station at 6am, on the train, tickets just printed out, the ticket guard comes down and is well arrogant anyway, but is all 'this ticket is off peak and cant be used now, AND it's out of date.' The date on it was the 26th, it was the 27th that day, BUT the train actually left my town at 11.35 or something, in the evening of the 26th, and you had a 6 hour wait around at the next station till the train to London came, so mum said instead of waiting around the station all night, she would drive me to the next station in time for the second train, so anyway, my train ticket WAS valid for both the 26th and 27th, I had the email to prove it but he would'nt listen to me so I asked how much another ticket would be, £75.50 SINGLE. So I said how much for a return, double that..which, I knew was a load of b**locks, 'cause I knew I could get it for £30 single at Paddington, so got the £75.50 single ticket and was on my way. I decided to have a little rant on Twitter about The Train Line and the ticket man, it involved so a lot of obscenities, I won't lie..a little while later I gets a reply from The Train Line asking if they could help, anyway, to cut a long story somewhat short, I sorted it through direct messages with a very nice man called Dave who works for The Train Line, and he basically said my ticket SHOULD have been valid, and the ticket guard was just being stupid, so said to send all my extra train tickets I had bought back to the offices and they would refund it for me, which I thought was VERY nice, so in yo face ticket guard, I hope we cross paths again, just so I can laugh at you. Another thing was, it was an off peak ticket, he said I couldn't use it because it was peak time, which, it clearly wasn't at 6am, especially when my journey started at 11.35 the night before, AND that is what time I had booked it for, and it had let me, but anyways, for the record, morning peak time is 7am till 9.30am and if your journey is underway before that time, then you can still use an off peak ticket if it over £12. Rant over. I'm sure no one wanted to read about that but hey, you didn't have to read it. Flying out in like 41 days or something, mega excited! Wooo. My best friend is pregnant and she's due next Friday, so she better have the little man on time so I have enough time to teach him the swear and be a real punk before I go. I joke about the swearing by the way, not the being a punk thing though, I WILL turn someones child into a little punk rocker, even if it kills me ha ha. I want an iphone so bad, i've got a Blackberry, but well want an iphone too :( I realise no one on here knows me properly, so here's a little low down..in the past year I have had over 13 phones. Basically, I have too much static in my body and it always gets the better of my phones, that, and they genuinely get broken somehow sometimes. I want a 16 or 32gb whit iphone. Sad times :( I also want a drum kit, my friend 'owes' me one, I gave him some stuff last year and he asked if I wanted a drum kit, he was in a band and I think it was their one, but they broke up, but I still haven't got my damn drum kit :( Basically, i'm way too hyperactive right now and feel like blabbering, so I apologise. I can't wait to be in America. Hello Mountain Dew, Lucky Charms and Cheesecake Factory, how I have missed thee. Mmmm. Apparently i'm going to play golf tomorrow with some guys I went to 6th form with, it should be a laugh, we all used to miss lessons to go play pool cause one of their house cause he only lived 2 minutes away. Hopefully, I will kick all their butts. Unlikely, but there's no harm in wishful thinking. Haha. I'm going to leave this like this cause the more and more I talk, the more and more it will go off track, haha. Sweet dreams everyone, of me, of course ;) (that was a joke.)

Because i'm siiiiingle and i'm faaaaaaaaamous

Basically, I think you should all watch this:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpEI8fdDDzc video because it's K. Flay and Mc Lars and Mc Lars and K. Flay are amazing. I was meant to be driving her, Mc Lars and DJ round on their UK April tour, and then to Amsterdam, but I had van troubles and couldn't and this makes me sad. So I listen to endless amounts of them all to make me happy. Mainly I listen to them to make be hyped up for camp. I want to dance around my room but if you saw my new room, it.is.a.box. Seriously.

I also enjoy this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvGzGfSVdPQ

Today I went on an 11 mile bike ride. It was good but I would like a new butt please? Will accept offers.

This blog will have minimal things to do with camp sometimes, but then, if you don't like readin crap, don't read it. Simple.

I get Broadband again tomorrow so I can finally use my Mac Pro on the interweb.  Wooo.

Is it wrong that i've developed a love for Justin Bieber? I know it's so very wrong but I can't help it. His songs are so catchy.

That's a wrap/rap. (It would be a rap if Lars were here.)

I wanna hold 'em like they do in Texas please

So, I found out what Falafel was today. I was genuinely upset to find out that it was basically just chickpeas. I though it'd be something amazing, I'm not quite sure what I was expecting but chickpeas? Come on!

I think the only bit of Camp related stuff I have to say is that I went back to my old house yesterday to pick up post and had a monthly newsletter from Winona which made me happy, and amongst others, my name was in it under new/returning staff :D Although, next to my name it says 'Cornwall, UK' and some other dude's says 'Laguna Beach' which is clearly way cooler.

I have nothing else to put in this blog. So it was pretty pointless, but I wanted to get my anger about Falafel out. :(

I'm gonna go have me some John Mayer time.

Toodeloo. (I met Vernon Kay once and he said this to me and my friend as we finished talking..it amused us.)

Hello I am a bum.

Soooooo. I quit my job at the end of last month which excites me to hell.

Actually, it doesn't so much, although it does, i'm starting to go crazyyyy (okay, i already was but still) and i've got like, a month and 3 weeks of this to go.

I went to ASDA the other day and found Cookie Monster socks and Animal (The Muppets) socks, and have decided from now on I will only ever wear cartoon socks. Also, I have become addicted to Tropicana i've drunk about 7 litres over the past three days, it's gooood!

I've just moved house aswell, AND going to pick up my MacBook Pro later on today!! EXCITED!! ME and my mum got them the other day (she just got the normal MacBook) from PC World, and we got them home, and mine had sticker marks all over the box, and none of it was in the wrapper AND all the apps were on it already, basically, it had been used before, so we took it back and they didn't have anymore in stock, and the woman was all like 'oh it says weve got one left, i'll just go make sure that it isn't the one that's on display' so we followed her and she was only trying to get the bloody display one off the stand!! When she saw us she was like 'Oh, no, it is just the display one we have left.' They offered to 'restore' it, but from working in refurbishing with the PS3's I know it's absolute crap and they don't get done properly, unless it by professionals, and even then it's still rubbish, so we demanded a refund and went to Comet, and they got one brought down from another store by the manager haha, they also have them chair massager things in Comet, my theory is you can always rely on a store that has chair massagers, but ANYWAYYYY, my new Pro is coming into store today so WOOOOOO!

I'm still waiting on the American side of CA to change my flight, even though me and my Director agreed on the 8th June, they STILL decided to put me on a flight on the 18th, i've been waiting for ages for them to change it, I got an email yesterday from the American CA saying they'd changed it, but still, no such luck..hopefully it'll update itself in the next couple of days.

Got my Embassy Interview on the 27th woooo, just hope I don't forget anything!

When that's sorted ima start planning my travels for after cap, I wanted to go to Toronto and Montreal, and have just been told by a friend in Chicago to swing by there after camp too, so i'm gonna start looking at inbound flight prices and coach prices.

Anyways, i'm gonna go now, i've got one of those dongles that you top up every now and then and wanna go shower/get dressed/eat and don't wanna leave the net on for too lonog incase it runs out.

Until next time....

Bloggy blog blog.

So, i've just written out my notice for work, handing it in tomorrow. I might cartwheel over to give it to them.

When I got hope today I had a big envelope from Winona waiting for me, it just has all the basic stuff I already know in it, and a CONTRACT which I need to sign. It all seem so real now, I can't wait. Get paid on Thursday night so Friday afternoon i'm off to buy me a suitcase for camp seeing as Delta Airlines smashed my other one up when I went to Atlanta in 2008, I got over there and it was all cracked, and one on the feet in front of the wheels had been broken off, but a nail was still sticking through my case, of course I didn't find this until I was packing my case to come home, knelt up against it a got stabbed in the leg by it, whilse ripping my shorts in the process. We duct taped all of my case, but it had all come off by the time I got back to the UK!!! Rediculous.

I don't think I have anything CA related to say on my blogs, i'm just way too over excited and just want to write. Ha.

I'm watching New Moon at the moment, i absolutely LOVE Kellan Lutz (Emmett)  'Dating an older woman...hot!' haha. Don't get me wrong, RPattz is equally amazing, I love his 'You can't trust vampires.......trust me.' cracks me up everytime. I'm gonna stop talking about Twilight/New Moon 'cause it does get annoying.

That's All Folks.

Tiiiime, goooes byyy, sooo sloooooowly..

12:09 AM , 21-Mar-2010 .. 0 comments .. Link

Actually, it's not, i've got just over 10 weeks 'till I head out for my camp. Which, seems like a long time, but really isn't.

While i'm blogging, and remember this, I just looked at my blog page thingy, and it says i'm 40!! D: I don't have any idea how to change this, so if anyone knows, please don't hesitate to pm me and tell me thankyou please. Although, I doubt anyone will read this anyway, but still.

I leave my job in just over a week, which I cannot wait for! It might sound like I have the coolest most awesome job ever, I fix Playstations 3's, yeah, it's alright, I get to play games occasionally when there's no work and just generally mess about, but recently i've been getting discrimnated against and shoed about everywhere 'cause i'm one of the only people in that place that knows how to do every single job, and i'm getting p**sed off with not knowing what i'm gonna be doing from one day to the next, or, more often than not, from one hour to the next. Although I can't say too much for legal reasons and Sony will probably try and sue me, I don't think the factory is gonna be in Cornwall for much longer, they can get everything done cheaper at the new factory in Dubai, and we keep having 'serious chats' about the quality of thw work that is going out, but yeah, you get the jist, i'll stop there 'cause they find some way of doing me over if anyone from there finds this, which, knowing them, they will 'cause they're pathetic like that.

Anywaaaaaayy, i'm looking for someone to design me a badass pair of Nike high tops hopefully one of my friends will be kind enough to do that, I would do it myself but they don't look as epic when I try and custom design, so hopefully someone else will come up with a great pair.

I havn't really said anything camp related in here, so i'm going to leave, I was just over excited and wanted something to do!

Au Revoir.

Just been placed..

10:38 PM , 15-Mar-2010 .. 0 comments .. Link

Woah. So, this is what it feels like to be placed.

I can't believe it has finally happened! I just got off the phone with a very nice man named Spencer, from Camp Winona in Maine. I've been placed as a 'pre-camper counsellor' basically working with the children of the other staff that will be there, apparently most of our afternoons will be spent at the beach, I am so happy about this, as, being from Newquay I pretty much live on the beach, summer and winter, so am well happy that i'm not gonna miss out on any of this whilst at camp. I will also get almost every evening off, so I guess I can do what I want, although I think the majority of the time i'll join in with the activities of the rest of the campers so I can get involved with everyone and get the full experience.

I'm now thinking of travel plans, after camp I want to visit a family friend in Atlanta, so thinking about either flying or getting a coach down there, whichever's cheapest, and I also want to go see a band that I am friends with in Canada as it would be so awesome to catch up with them on their side of the pond for once! I also want to spend a day or two in New York, but seeing as i'll be flying back from there then I can do that at the end of my travels. I'd love to visit a few more places but it'll all depend on the money side of things.

I'm going to sign out of this blog now so I stop rambling on about useless stuff, and hope I can get to sleep so I can slightly function at work tomorrow.

Ciao.
