So I spent today thinking lots about this Camp America.
Thinking about post-camp travels and I need need need to go to Portland and San Francisco.
Portland is genuinely ace.
I also tan really easily so I am looking forward to Malibu sunshine. I haven't found anyone going to
Mt Crags yet but I'm sure they will come out soon enough.
Its pretty mental that in 4.5 months I'll be on a plane to Los Angeles. It should be ace.

So last week was the recruitment fair. I didn't sleep all night and strolled across river up to Kensington (via Uni) and started queuing at around 7am.
We got let in around 11.20-ish and I made my way straight to table 17 where the Salvation Army were. Had an interview straight away. I am not the most confident person but it went okay. They told me to go away for 15 minutes. So I (finally) was able to go toilet. Had a little pray in the cubicle and few minutes later they told me they would like to place me. I assumed somewhere like their camps in Oregon or Washington but no... Malibu! I love the ocean and sunshine so its awesome.
Should be an awesome experience. I don't have much experience with The Salvation Army and they are pretty protestant in terms of churchmanship. So on my way home I looked them up... think it will be a great experience. I am a fairly broad Anglican (more Catholic leaning most of the time) so it will be great to have an opportunity to take stuff back to the Bible and try understand how important/ influential scripture can be for people.
I dont want to give the impression I am a nutter or a 'bible basher' and I doubt the other guys placed are.It seems like a thoroughly awesome and decent place where kids are treated amazingly.
So I am pretty psyched. Gonna have to catch up on my scripture.
Sortof filled out my CRB forms and gonna send off my GP form (thats gonna be a long blog) today.
Dug out an old Lonely Planet last night. I did East Coast on my Gap Year 4 years ago so I'm psyched for doing West Coast stuff.
