Camp life

Posted on 15-Jun-2012 | 0 comments | Link Yesterday was my first day at Camp and it's definitely as tiring as everyone says. We were up at. 7 and at breakfast at 8, then at 9 we started our days of riding, ropes, life guarding etc. Unfortunately the trapeze instructors were delayed in getting to camp so we did some maintenance instead. At least I can put shed building on to my CV when I get home! We also had another camp fire last night which was nice but we were all so tired that my cabin were in bed by half 10. Today is my day off so I'm heading into town with Amy and Joe who are also on trapeze to get some things and enjoy doing nothing for a while although I have to be back at 7 for CPR training! On the bright side trapeze training starts tomorrow :-) X

Made it to America! Next stop camp..

So we made it to America and the arrivals hotel at around 1pm yesterday and we were absolutely shattered. We had a little orientation with the CA USA staff and then were left to do our own thing, I went to the hotel restaurant with the girls and had some lunch (or dinner seeing as it was about 7pm UK time!). We ate so much and felt so sick that we have sworn off massive portions for the rest of the trip...(probably won't last that long though).

After a 13 hour sleep last night we have been kicking about the hotel today playing ping pong and air hockey and chatting about what we think Camp will be like. There is one returner here who has been answering all our questions which has been nice, luckily for me he does Trapeze so I feel slightly better about it all now as he said last year was his first time and he absolutely loved it.

Leaving in 15 minutes for Camp. So excited but so nervous!! Hopefully will get to post again soon XX

First Post!

Posted on 18-May-2012 | 0 comments | Link Okay, so it's taken me a while to get round to posting.. and I'm not great with blogs so bare with me! As of right now there are 24 days until I fly to America and begin my adventure at Camp Hilltop, just outside of New York. I am terrified and excited all at once. I think it would be fair to call this the biggest adventure of my life so far. I hope to blog most of my time out there to keep everyone at home updated (mainly you Mum & Dad!) but until then I should probably get back to studying and passing these exams :-( ! Xx
