Packing and Preparing for Camp!

Hey everyone, Well it seems like I haven't got long until my feet will be on USA ground. My flight is on Saturday the 12th of June which is in 5 days time!!!!! Packing has been a bit of a challenge; choosing nice clothes that I wouldn't mind getting lost or damaged. Also the fact that I would normally pack more gadgets than clothes is making me feel like I'm on a gadget diet. Debating whether or not to take my good camera as I am already filming with my camcorder while I'm there. I would say I'm nervous, but those sleepless nights (which have already started for me) feel more like the night before Christmas. I think I'm ready to just go and get out of my culture and see the world as I feel like I have been kept safely isolated in my nice little village and Uni life. I have just been filming for other students and people going on Camp America in the next few years to see what the experience is like, what to expect....and how to avoid my mistakes! The trip to the Embassy was easier than I had anticipated they put me through in about half and hour and most of that was sat down. its a bit like Argos where they give you the ticket number and then the screen calls it out when they are ready for you. For those of you reading this that know nothing about me: I am Natalie Palmer, a 20 year old from Histon near Cambridge. I study Media Production at Leicester De Montfort University. This basically means that I can't keep myslef away from cameras (I study both digital photography with DSLRs and Post production (editing), studio work and this past year have learnt about CGI (computer generated images). ...I made a flying dragon! but I'm not quite at the transformers stage. Hopefully next time I visit the site I will be in America! Wish me luck, N@
