I know I haven't posted in foreverrrr! My gosh, everything is just coming together so quickly and it's weird. I'm having periods of anxiety where I panic and think "oh my, I'm going away for ages and I might not like it and it's gonna be all so different etc" then I get periods of proper excitement like "IT'S GONNA BE SO AWESOME and It's gonna be amazing and I'm gonna love it and meet so many new people!" such a head spin.
At the moment I have ONE WEEK! next Thursday I'll be at that airport on my way to New York!!!! yayayayayaybr;ajwdfh;aljdklam/ Started packing now! hehehe, making sure I have everything

This has been playing on my mind for a while now. And I have no idea what nickname I want. I was thinking of something to do with my hair colour? Maybe 'Red'. Plain, simple, and I wouldn't mind being called it all summer. any ideas?

I had my appointment today. At 11o'clock. It went so smoothly! Not gonna lie though, I was ****ting a brick. I got the train up to Victoria and then the tube to Bond street and walked down with my dad and sister. They told me because I'm under 18 it was essential that I had a chaperone, because I'm not an adult (I think my soul cried at that) But when I got there they said they've been sending in 16/17 year olds all week and it wasn't a problem, so them two went to Starbucks whilst I had to go in. Very simple! line up, get your stuff scanned and walk though a metal detector thingy, then walk round into the building, wait for your number like at Argos and then go up to the booth thing, give them your papers and scan your fingers. After that you then walk round the corner again, answer a few question and then get your finger prints done again and voila! ALL ACCEPTED :) After that we did a little shopping in Harrods, and by shopping I mean browsing with complete shock at prices. Ate lunch, and headed home again. Wonderful day :D
More excitement

I'm getting more and more excited for camp these days. I've been speaking to a fellow camper about kit lists and the best way to take things and do's and don't on every front. But I started speaking to another camper about post-camp travels and I've found out neither of us are travelling, due to various reasons, but want to stay in New York for a couple of days.. So! 1 + 1 = We're going to travel to NY together and fly home the same day! Ta-dahhhh, Magic.
Also, here's my Tumblr. Just incase :)

Falling into place.

I feel like everything's falling into place now. A little anxious about my Embassy appointment still though! and about money. I think I've gathered up enough money for the train to orientation and the Embassy which altogether will cost just over £40.. and then it's my 18th about 20days before I fly out so I'm hoping everyone will be super generous and I'll have money from that. But that's all the money I'll have. I'm predicting I'll fly out to america with a total of about £200. From posts I've read about spending money etc, it looks like I'm gonna be super skint when I'm there, so no luxuries. cry cry
Spoke to Emilie today

Emilie is my camp director. I had a few questions naggaling in my head for a while, so I finally emailed them to her and she got back quickly. I think having them answered has really let me click things into place and finally organise myself etc. I've decided to fly home back on the 21st, because after talking to Emilie about the end of camp, she said because I officially finish on the 19th I'll be able to leave the camp on the 20th. This means I can get the bus/train back to NY on the 20th, stay there a night then catch the train to the airport on the 21st. Which isn't baaaaad. Nice time keeping skills there :D
This means once I pay off everything on Saturday I can finally book my flight and I'll have nothing looming over me. Well.. except the embassy appointment(17th April) and the orientation(21s April) which I'll have to pay £20 for the train for.. then of course clothes etc.. and spending money. But that'll all be fine.. all the important stuff will be out my way :D

I haven't been online for about a week or so, just because I've been a bit busy, and I log on today and I feel overwhelmed at how everything's suddenly become so.. together. I've got details of Orientations (21st April- London, I chose) and Return Flights and stuff. I looked at the return flight options. No way I'm paying for an open return. (I know I'm not going travelling after, because I'm going away again shortly after I return) but I don't want to make a commitment to a date. Do you know what I mean? I don't know how long it will take me to get back to New York after I finish in Virginia, then I want to stay there a few days, to experience New York.. But I don't want to get there on the 20, after I finish on the 19th and realise I don't have a flight till the 24th or something and just wander around in New York on my own for 4 days.
It just seems so daunting at the moment to plan what's going to happen in nearly 5 months time. I can't predict what will happen when I finish etc. I guess I'll talk about my options tomorrow with my Mam. She'll help me decide, then I can book something.
Maybe someone wont be travelling, like me, and will want to book a similar flight?
Got all my Visa stuff through

wooo! one step closer, I got my appointment date, 17th April, and all my papers through.. so much stuff. I've filled out and printed out all I need t I think and did the online application thingy. But I haven't secured a letter saying I have a job after I come back. My gosh, this is the most important thing and I'm so worried I wont have anything. Fingers crossed I can secure something!

I've been thinking about post-camp adventures.. I'm not to sure if I'll go travelling due to funds AND the fact I think I may go Reading.. but I REALLY want to go to a gig or festival in America :/ I looked up Warped tour, but the days it's in or near Virginia, is week days, and obviously I'm at camp during the week.
Anyone with me on this one?

My passport finally came through today! Man it looks weird. You know you usually have that solid paper bit near the back with your photo and details on? well mines on the front page. And it's not even a solid page, it's all flimsy and then there's another picture on the opposite page all blurry. I have no idea why it's there twice. Looks pretty cool though. I'm hoping now that I've updated it on the system my Visa papers will all come through, and everything can run smoothly! HIGH HOPES! :)

I'm still waiting for all my visa papers to come through in the post. grr. But on a lighter note, I received an email from my camp today, telling me all about the things I'll need to bring and all the rules and stuff. Seems like one step closer. Although it says I need to bring things like tan shorts, alarm clock, laundry detergent and a sleeping bag etc.. a) what are tan shorts and where do I get them from?! and b) I dont think my suitcase if going to be this big. I hope we have the chance to go shops before we start everything

Hey guys.. I've never kept a blog before, so it's gonna be interesting if I actually keep at it. I thought I'd do one for myself though, so I don't expect anyone to read it. But it's so I can look back at it after I come back from camp and remember all the worrying and panicing that I experienced before. Which I'll probably laugh at. So, I've sent off my CRB forms, my Medical form and another reference.. I've been 'placed' online and I've paid half the money required. I'm now in a desperate plea to get a job?! ahh!
