All set to go :)

Posted on 9-Apr-2012 | 0 comments | 0 trackbacks | Link Hey guys, I've been looking on how to set up my own blogg for a few days and only just figured it out :) but hey never to late to start one! I started my online application at the beginning of October 2011, at first I wasn't sure if this was for me as I come from a close family unit and haven't been apart from them for more than 2 weeks. But had a number of chats with them, also with friends and they talked me round to it. I completed my application, submitted it and make my first payment. I was very nervous for my interview as I haven't had much experience in them. I had my interview on the 11th November 2011 :) Driving down the motorway with my dad I just kept asking 'What sort of questions do you think the interviewer would ask'. Once the interview was well under way I started to relax and just answer the questions as I would naturally, forgetting this is where I get told if I'm the person a camp may be looking for! Once the interview said the words 'WELL DONE! YOU HAVE PASSED YOUR INTERVIEW AND I AM HAPPY TO SAY YOU CAN NOW GO ON TO THE NEXT STAGE OF YOUR APPLICATION!' I left with the biggest smiles on my face, I was straight on the phone to family and friends. Then went on to let the world know on my facebook and twitter! I felt the happiest person alive :D When I begin circulating around the camps, I checked my CA application everyday to see if I had been placed but there was nothing! I don't know I didn't think to check my application for a few days until one night I said to my mum 'I'm going to check my application, see if I have been placed'. I nervously logged in. There on the front page read 'CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE BEEN PLACED' I jumped up screaming and shouting that I have been placed! I shown my mum & dad the message and they started to smile, told my congrats and well done :D I've currently paid my CA, had my visa appointment and received it in the post last Wednesday :) Can't wait to get to camp! Going to be a great summer, I know it!! :D Anyways, going to leave it there Keep you posted over the next coming weeks as the 16th June approaches <3 xxxxx
