So Im just one week away from getting on a plane and heading out to camp, getting soooo excited!!!! have spoken to a couple people going to my camp who will also be on my flight so hopefully the flight wont be lonely. just a couple more things I need to sort out like putting money on my caxton card n sorting out my sim card otherwise im ready to start packing!!! cnt wait to get out there n start my summer :)

My Visa has come through!!!! Exactly 1 week after my appointment, also love my Camp America Tshirt :) Will probs use the sim they gave me as well seeing since Ive decided Im taking an old phone instead of my iphone. Im getting so excited for camp and literally cnt wait think its 40 days till I fly out, so excited!!!!! :D

Hey guys so had my visa appointment yesterday, I was in the embassy for over an hour so not too bad, I got there for 10 40 and my appointment was at 11 n it was actually quite busy. Got my visa granted so cnt wait for my CA tshirt to come through with the visa :D Its round about 46 days till camp and Im getting mega excited!! I dont have much shifts at the mo so thinking of joining a gym for the nxt month to really get in shape for camp otherwise the only other thing Ive got to do is a bit of pre camp shopping :)

Hey guys, so yesterday I had my Orientation which was good fun and really informative got me abit nervous though when they said 187 people were fired last year!! Hopefully that wont be me this year :S anyways I have also got all of my forms done!! and all my visa stuff is prepared for next thursday when I have my visa appointment, just want it over n done now, but after yesterday Im soooo excited for camp!! plus Ive decided Ill defo be taking one of those huge rucksack things instead of a suitcase so going old school :)

Hey guys, havent written for a few days but not much has changed I still have a pile of forms to do which I am determined to get done TODAY but we will see how that goes...Today my Visa package came through which Im so happy about as I was starting to think it wasnt coming, just really wnt to get it over n done with so that I can lay bck and just count down the days to camp!! Ive decided that for my return flight Im gonna choose the DIY option, its a pain to pay that extra money for it but Im defo travelling after camp and probably wont know exactly where Im going until I get to camp and make new friends so I think its the safest bet, this way while at camp when I know exactly what Im doing I can contact CA about when I wnt to go home. So today my goal is to get the return flight option sorted and do all forms I possibly can...Anyway hope everyone elses placements are going smoothly, till nxt time!!!

Hey everyone, well I got my embassy appointment, its on the 26th April at 11, bit nervous as Im afraid ill forget to bring something important but seeing since everyone else seems to say that its quick n simple Im hoping it will all go ok, gonna start on the forms my camp sent me soon and have decided ill do my medical forms after my Orientation on the 21st, everything is slowly coming together though cnt wait for my visa to all be sorted n out of the way. Sucks that Ill have to make two trips up to london as Id rather save the cash but oh well hopefully wont come up to too much. XD

Hey So my flight was confirmed today!! :D I fly out on the 12th June, I should soon also be getting my visa stuff through. Getting even more excited now specially since I know when Ill fly out. Was just wondering though does anyone know how you post comments on the forum?? Ive tried but it just says I have to register and doesnt tell me how to do that. Really want to know as I want to join convos about traveling after camp, I know I want to travel after camp with a group of people and have abit of an adventure but Im not interested in doing the camp america treks, If anyone knows how I can post on the forum it would be a big help :)
Anyway thats my update hope everyone elses placements are going smoothly and wishing luck to those still waiting.
Just when I thought the rest would be easy...

Well now that Ive got my placement Im waiting for my visa stuff to come through so that I can make an appointment with the US embassy, though im worried ill end up waiting awhile since my direct site doesnt even say that my stuffs been printed and sent off yet. So even though I know theres still loads of time to get everything sorted Im starting to panic abit as I got an email from my camp today and now have a load of forms to fill out including a medical one which means I have 2 of them to do including the one which camp america sent to me. I really just want to get everything done and for June to come!!
Sorry for the moan guys just worrying that ill forget a form and it will ruin my placement :S and I guess I really wasnt expecting the extra paperwork lol, anyways thats about what Im up to on my placement atm cant wait for my shopping for camp to begin :D bit early I know but still looking forward to it :)

Hi my name is Amelia I live in Brighton and I'm so happy I've finally got a placement, its been one stressful ride. I went to both recruitment fairs in London though didn't get a placement at either of the fairs :( I had just started to lose hope when I got offered the ready steady go option. I accepted and the next day got a placement!! I'm going to be a horseback counselor at Camp Wicosuta! Ive also chosen to go to the 21st April Orientation in London :D was just wondering If anyone else is going here as well? Also I want to choose my return flight now to get it out of the way but really don't fancy paying more money for the DIY option, I know I want to travel afterwards but I don't have any set plans yet, whats everyone else planning on doing? Could really do with help deciding.
Anyway good luck to all those still waiting and Congrats to everyone who has their placement :)
