Camp America participants will automatically gain access to the forum when they reach the Ready To Place status. Until then, the forum and its contents are read only. When an applicant reaches the RTP stage, accessing the Participant Zone will automatically create a forum login and users can begin posting and replying to forum content.

Post Is 23 too old to do Camp America??????!!
The next time I will be able to do Camp America is when Im 23 ? Do you think this is too old as most other counsellors semm to be alot younger?? Will I fit in still do you think?

Not at all i'm gonna be 23 at camp this year and i know i'm gonna love it plus lots of people at my camp are over 23 and they all say they love it so your never too old we have staff that are 40plus

NO.. they wouldn't let you do it if you were too old! I know loads of people who are older than you doing it.

No definitely not. Camp wouldnt work if all the counsellors were 18 and 19! You need the older more experienced counsellors as well as the younger newbies. I'm 23 this yr and its my 5th summer.

I dont think an 18year old is as influential to campers as say a 21year old, they are much more the adult as 18 is quite close to some campers age! Plus if i love this summer im planning my years around going on the CA program as many years as they can find me placements!!!

And don't feel any different to the 18 year olds (except I have more stamina and don't fall over at the end of a night ....)

I totally agree with what the others said. You're not too old to do CA. I'm 23 as well and it's the first time I'm going to camp. Don't worry :)
