Camp America participants will automatically gain access to the forum when they reach the Ready To Place status. Until then, the forum and its contents are read only. When an applicant reaches the RTP stage, accessing the Participant Zone will automatically create a forum login and users can begin posting and replying to forum content.

Don't think so, you've got to get everything done before you go no matter what so I don't think it matters which order you do it in :-)

On the old CRB check thing , how long does it take to do generally because apart from the visa thing, thats all Im waiting for!

Depends on how busy the CRB is but it can take a while. When I called last year, their turnaround was 8-12 weeks but if it's not busy it might be closer to 4.

yeah mine took quite a while to come through,i was a bit concerned because i dint know if i had filled it in or what, i got that confused with everything, so emailed CA and they said it had been sent of when i had my interview. but it did seem to take for ever to come back!

they legally have to reply to you within 40 working days... at least, thats what it says on the N.Ire forms!

Thats about right. Yeah I thought I made a mistake by accidentally filling up the section where is asks for your bank details. CA says not to fill that part up, and also not to fill out the references which I nearly did and put Mr. but then luckly found out that the instructions where on the back of the mail in envelope. Grrgh.

i got my crb back in like a week or two but ive had so many done because i volunteer everywhere that i have to have different ones. but the first one i got took at least a month to return and i was gettin paranoid even though i dont have a criminal record lol.

Yeah, you normally recive a copy of your CRB to your house so obviously you know what they have recieved.

you get a copy and a copy will go to the body who requested it, which i'm assuming is camp america. i was lucky and didn't have to get another one done because i'd had one done within the last 6 months! saves me having to wait for it all to come through!!

no, but get your police check done asap, it can take up to 7 weeks!!!
but the police check is for camp america...
i dont think the visa place asks for it
