I have posted before about this but has anybody on RSG been placed yet? I am loosing hope. Each day is getting harder and harder as I just keep thinking about going to camp
People have posted that people on RSG always get placed. Is this true?

Hey I was put on RSG and I know how you feel, waiting around to get a place and then I got a place last week!
I think they keep taking people until 25th of June so don't lose hope!! The point of RSG is to get placed right before you go so don't worry if it gets to next week and your still not placed!

If you have got your visa all sorted and everything you should be fine! There are 1000s of camps and someone is bound to drop out or even get fired In the meantime call camp america and get them to enhance your application as much as possible!! For example I put down an earlier availability date, maybe boost the fact you would be willing to work with any special needs camps or religious camps? Even if your experience is limited or your not that religious, I haven't been placed at a religious camp but wrote in I would be willing to go to one; only that I would not be willing to do bible studies. I think it looks more extreme in the application form so they can cover themselves.

My boyfriend got placed through RSG couple of weeks ago, don't get too disheartened yet!

Im on rsg to and still waiting. Fingers crossed. I know what you mean about it getting harder each day. Its really disheartening especially when I have so much experience with working with children. Im sure a camp will pick us there just looking for the right one? xx

I'm on RSG to and I'm trying to stay as positive as possible im actually getting quite excited thinking I could be spending a summer in the USA I've found it's far better to have a positive attitude rather than a 'I'm not going to get placed and that's it' attitude. Remember not everyone is offered RSG so our applications must have been appealing or else we wouldn't have been put on it good luck everyone, sure it won't be to long now! Xx

It is horrible waiting but I have got it in my head that i'm going.
If I am unsuccessful, i'll deal with it then. RSG is a great thing to be offered. We all were warned that it could be stressful wait. Try and organise your documents and sort out clothes you will take. That's what I have done.... The way I'm looking at it is... I am going to America this Summer, I just don't know what camp .
