Hi everyone
Is anyone thinking of doing any treks? I like the sound of the 22 day one across america :) but would also like to see some other places. It all depends if and where I get placed.

Hi Sarah,

I'm looking at doing some sort of trip around America after camp - when I'm placed, if...

I'm looking to do LA - SF..

Do Camp America Trek's put you in groups or do you have to decide a group?

VAT; US state taxes and exchange rates probably play a part - either that or they want more $$$ which is likely.

George.

Hi George
I think you just book a place and they put you in groups, it would be nice to pick groups but I think we will all be around the same age anyway so should be really fun. :D I hope I can do the night out in Vegas too, ive always wanted to go there :D

Hi :)
I'm reaaaally interested in doing one of the treks, like majorly! I'm just wondering how we'd get to LA/New York to begin with, would we have to travel there ourselves after camp, and will our visa let us?

I can't do it yet as I haven't been placed yet and don't know any dates or anything but definitly want to do it :( have you done them previously?

Hey Megan
Yeah we have to get to the starting point ourselves but internal flights shouldnt be too much hopefully. Our visa is fine unless we travel out of America and then try to get back in I think, I read that some people has trouble when they went to Canada or Mexico.

well be technically booking on my own, paying myself, etc, but my mate from camp is gonna be paying for the same trip aswell so kind of doing it alone, kind of with a friend!!

pretty proud of myself on the saving front, my bank balance is growing nicely.....although ill lose £200 next few days due to bills!! but pay day for me is monday so should be good!

thw 22 day thing should be awesome!!! im really excited and cant wait to get on it.....but before that have camp to look forward to!! this could be a GREAT year!!

Hey Megan,
I have loads of questions if thats ok lol I wont ask them all at once though.

*When your camping do you have access to electricity and showers etc?
*how big is the tent we use, is it two people per tent?
*How much money did you spend roughly each day? and were the optional excursions expensive?

This trek looks so good :D I will be able to plan it soon now I know my finish date :)

Thank for your help
Sarah xx
