Camp America participants will automatically gain access to the forum when they reach the Ready To Place status. Until then, the forum and its contents are read only. When an applicant reaches the RTP stage, accessing the Participant Zone will automatically create a forum login and users can begin posting and replying to forum content.

I'm doing the ARC course at the moment in Milton Keynes, if you have the same instructors as us (Kurt, Brett & Sarah) then you'll love it!

I finished and passed the course Sunday (18th Dec), it's great, I asked Brett and you'll be having the same instructors!

Think Im going to do this course as well, quick question, how long were the days you spent on the course? Are they like full days or half days?

Should really let work know before I apply lol :)

The days were pretty long 9am-4/5pm, but our friday half day was optional so I dont think anyone whet to it. :)

I am going to the Feb course in Manchester also, are you planning on staying in Manchester for the whole two weekends or travelling home after each day?

Hey, I am thinking of doing the ARC course soon, but I was just wondering what you have to do for it? Swim lengths, climb out the pool? I do not have a clue! Thanks :)

Hi Claire
You have to do 3 pool tests before you can join the course, but these happen after a morning of learning things for the course. We had to swim 20 lengths using proper breathing and using front crawl and breast stroke, then you have to swim 10 metres under water picking up 3 dive rings, then you have to swim 20 metres then dive down anout 7ft to pick up a brick then swim back to the start and get out, in 1 minute 20 seconds.

The worst one was the dive rings for me, its hard to stay under with chunky rings in your hands lol.

Yeah the tests are one after the other, but the second two only 2 people go at once so if you go to the back of the queue you can get a few minutes to recover lol.
