I don't think I right for the job they have placed me for. Its a general counsellor / music teacher for the brass band but I havent played a brass instrument in 3 years and this was the last thing i thought i would get placed for. How do I cancel a placement if I change my mind completely? Or should I just go with it, they havent asked for how well i play or anything and I know the basics enough to pass them on to beginners?

Ask them exactly what the role would include. What level would you be teaching etc. Maybe they only want you to teach beginners? If you feel you're not qualified enough then you need to let the camp know (and maybe ring CA as well to have the placement declined.)

I thought the Director was called Charles... that is what was on everything on my CAD. I am just stressing out so much I have my final exam tomorrow and then going straight to work so wont be able to speak to anyone until like Monday >.<

i know we had the same problem, ive had names of 4 people saying they are all directors but it is actually kristen who is in charge of the camp.
shes very good at emailing back quickly so just write her a msg and you should have a quick reply, shes very nice so you shouldnt have a problem with anything

I will do once I get stupid physical chemistry out the way. I have emailed the guy who is corresponding with me so hopefully he can clear somethings up. But thank you for the email address I might email on saturday when I finally have a chance to think about this properly =)

I have coaching experience running a hockey team and going camping a lot but I would be happier knowing that I was just a general counsellor... instead of being something that i might not be as qualified for... but ohwell I need to chill haha

I wouldn't worry too much! You'll probably have orientation for 2 weeks before camp, and the kids are probably already able players or beginners.

My friend got a place last year as a water-sports teacher, and she'd never been near a body board let alone anything else! You'll probably be fine!
