I watched the video a couple of weeks back, it's what made me want to go there in the first place! :) Might go back and watch it again now. Ugly contest anyone?! Hahahaha

So looks like Thursday 10th it is! Shall we say, 7pm at the Bier Halle for pizzaaaa? Then head up to Sauchiehall Street and pick a bar after?

I LOVE the idea of an East coast trip down to Miami!!! I just googled it and lo and behold a Trek America option popped up! Check out Atlantic Dream
Cool route eh? Camp America-ers get 10% off too! Might be a good value option??

By the way, GOOD NEWS! If like me, anyone is having trouble getting their Hep B jag for free, I emailed the camp director to ask if it was 100% necessary and he's just got back to me to say:
"I wanted to give you the right answer and i had to check a few resources before I was sure. So it looks like you do not need the Hepatitis B vaccine. the State we are in requires it for all campers and staff under 18. Since you are not under 18 you are all set. Thanks for checking with me on this."
If you can get it free, maybe get it anyway, but otherwise looks like you can save your money!

My visa stuff hasn't showed up yet...and I've not decided whether to go to London or Belfast embassy...
xx

Aw Rachael, YOU ARE A STAR!!! :) Thats great as I was worried I was gona have to fork out for that too!!! I'll have a look at the trek america link as well but I was thinking might be cheaper to do it ourselves, there's alot of discussion about that on the forums!

7pm sounds great to me, eeek I'm very excited!

Think I'm going to go to Belfast as flights are like 40quid and the girls I lived with at Uni have a house in Belfast city centre so I can crash there for the night- if you fancy belfast Rachael we could try go on the same day and you would be more than welcome to crash too! Would be like a mini adventure before camp haha!

xx

That trek america thing sounds really good Rachael! Definately want to do the east coast big time :-)!!
And the 10th suits me fine too, i'll request it off work just incase they decide to put me in at the last minute! Will be good to meet everyone personally lol! Feels weird talkin to people over the internet without having met them!
I was planning on just going to london for my visa i never really thought about going to belfast? i just assumed everyone would be goin to london haha!
Havent had an e-mail or anything yet sayin about the appointment and time and stuff...think that might take another wee while because theres so many people to get sorted for it!
Haha Rose I think you'll be fine to take your straighteners and stuff, even like two of us could take hairdryers and others could take straighteners or somethin so were not all takin everything :)! I hope we get a big baggage allowance...i always go over mine :(! Haha!
Im so tempted to e-mail the camp and say like hiiii im coming to work for you in the summer, whats newww!! Haha, dont think i'll be doin that though!! im excited to hear from them :) cant wait till this whole visa thing is out the way too!

I'm worried about my Visa. They say that i'm an undergraduate uni student. I'm at college? Do you think this matter or is it just a general thing they put for students?

Where we all meeting on the 10th? I don't know Glasgow well so can someone maybe meet me at Queen Street Station? :P x

Arrghhh it's sooo sunny today :) Unfortunately I'm in work doing overtime!! As soon as I saw the sun I thought about summer and got very excited about camp lol! A whole summer of sun will be amazing!

I wouldn't worry much about it Paul, it's probably just a general bracket they use for students! I wonder if mine says 'University graduate currently in s**t job due to stupid recession' I think that would sum up my employment status at present lol! Also Queen street isn't far from the beir halle at all so that shouldn't be a problem Paul!

That's the visa powerpoint up and apparantly we should receive an appointment within 3 weeks of receiving our visa letters in the post so that should be soon yay! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends! :) xx
